Vicuña carries exceptional thermal properties despite weighing next to nothing — a fiber warmer than cashmere of comparable weight while retaining a hand so fine it barely registers on the skin. As one of the rarest materials in Loro Piana's vocabulary, it is worked alone in its purest form or combined with Baby Cashmere for an even softer result, and occasionally paired with wind- and rain-resistant technologies like Storm System® for capes, jackets, and coats that need to perform against the elements without losing the fiber's essential lightness.
