Nature-inflected vases by Barlet Soeurs

Anne-Sophie and Bénédicte Barlet – the sister duo behind Barlet Soeurs – have crafted a special collection of evocatively printed vases, designed exclusively for Loro Piana’s boutique in Forte Dei Marmi. The clean-sculpted creations capture the elegant spirit of Tuscan life, with inspiration drawn from the local flora as well as signature House codes.

An ode to Tuscany

Everything starts with a hand-drawn sketch bringing to life the shape, motifs, and rich palette of the vases. Warm, earthy tones are paired with pure whites inflected by the marbles of Carrara, echoing the natural beauty of the region. It is a poetic interpretation of Tuscany, told through emphatic lines and dynamic skill.

Rich in spirit and emotion

Entirely crafted by hand, from the moulding of the clay to the unique paints and glazed surfaces, the vases extend beyond mere function and are veritable pieces of art. Suspended between the everyday and the extraordinary, they are sublimed into timeless creations.

Sealed with a human signature

Cast, stamped, molded, painted, and glazed, the vases bear the marks of multiple gestures on the clay and the lively movements of the hand. They are everyday objects, elevated into a celebration of the senses and sharing – each one of a kind, turning utility into beauty.

Adorned with an iconic Loro Piana emblem

Amidst a plethora of painterly Tuscan wildflowers, the thistle holds a special place. Historically used by the Maison to imbue precious fibres with infinite softness, it serves as an emblem of meticulous, time-honoured artisanship.
